I love painter Haley Hasler's quirky parodies of her self portrait which "confronts the viewer with an outward representation of the inner self ". Her paintings present a narrative of her life as she sees it where she is often seen balancing motherhood and marriage while deftly offering a plate of hors d'oeuvres or birthday cake.......all while flying through the air or wearing a tiara. Don't we all feel like this at times?
